Beautiful "Black and White" set of the Civic Guard. - Lot 283
Beautiful "Black and White" set of the Civic Guard. A - Black and white high crested Morion in two parts. Wrought iron decorated on the sides with fleurs-de-lis. Engine-turned border. Perimeter decorated with a series of brass rosette rivets. B - Black and white wrought-iron breastplate with high busk, in one piece, with its two loops with an iron barb at the top. Beautiful traces of hammering on the inside of both pieces. Germany, circa 1580.
