Imperial Guard infantry officer's sword.
Handle entirely covered with a triple silver filigree. Chiselled brass mount, hilt with two mumps, one of which is decorated with the profile of Emperor Napoleon I, in silver. Curved blade with engraved Klingenthal back, marked at the heel with "DUC FOURBISSEUR DE LA GARDE IMPERIALE RUE ST HONORÉ EN FACE CELLE DE LA LOI N° 251 À PARIS", richly engraved with "GARDE IMPERIALE" cartouches, with eagle "N" motif and foliage.
Leather scabbard with two trimmings with a brass model cut and decorated with a line.
A.B.E. First Empire period (does not fit in the back scabbard).
