RUSSIA. HOLY YEAR ORDER, created in 1735. 1st class plaque "with diamonds" given by the Tsar. In silver, with radiating branches, with rings for sewing the plaque on the garment. Around the centre is the imperial crown in silver, with a floral frieze in chased gold. Legend "AMANT JUST PIET FIDEM" in silver letters, on a red enamelled gold background. Motif of the center in amati gold with red enamelled cross. Reverse in vermeil with tilting attachment, engraved by the manufacturer "16". Marked "ET" of import (1864-1893). All the branches, the legend rims, the imperial crown and the legend were entirely set with diamonds which were removed without damaging the plate. 90 mm. Gross weight: 92 g. T.T.B. This type of insignia with diamonds was distributed to Russians and foreigners, then, from 1874, only to foreigners during state visits. Our piece could be a German work. 0 .
