Two brown enameled figures with ochre eyes depicting a seated lion and lioness, the front resting on a wall decorated with beige and green flowers and foliage.
19th century
(Lion: tail missing, foliage repaired, fire damage to base and chips; lioness: chip to base, foliage, tongue and flower slightly missing).
Height 22 cm; length: 24 cm
Cf. model almost similar to that in the Narbonne museum, illustrated in "Faïences d'Apt et de Castellet" by Marc Dumas, p. 122.
