Height 20.7 cm; Width: 16.8 cm (dimensions when viewed) According to an old label on the back of the frame, "Vente de la collection Napoléon Ney, prince de la Moskowa, ancienne collection Louis Chappée, vente du mercredi 29 mai 1929". The Louvre holds a self-portrait by the same artist dated 1841 (inv. RF 3872).
