One of the most beautiful romantic illustrated books, here in first edition. It marks the renovation of the woodcut. THE EDITION IS DECORATED WITH ABOUT 600 FIGURES ENGRAVED ON WOOD AFTER DRAWINGS BY JEAN GIGOUX. A copy with all the remarks of the first edition, masterly bound in the romantic taste by Roger Devauchelle.
