Height : 145 cm 145 cm ; Width : 112 cm Provenance: - Serafina and Gheorghe Răuţ (Georges Raut) Collection; - Collection of a family of Romanian origin in Paris ; - By succession to the present owner. Expert : Cabinet Maréchaux Artist of Romanian origin, Theodor Pallady (1871-1956) settled in France at the end of the 19th century and rubbed shoulders with Albert Marquet, Georges Rouault, Constantin Brancusi and Henri Matisse. Matisse became his teacher for a few years and had a definite influence on his work on the female nude and color. Back in Romania at the beginning of the 20th century, he continued to exhibit in France until the Second World War.
