BOSSUET Jacques-Bénigne. Treatise on free will and concupiscence. Posthumous work. Paris, Barthélemy Alix, 1731; in-12, contemporary red morocco binding, gilt fillets and arms in the centre of the boards, spine decorated with gilt motifs, inner lace and gilt edges.
First edition.
BINDING WITH THE ARMS OF JACQUES-BÉNIGNE BOSSUET, nephew and universal legatee of the great Bossuet whose first name he bore, the same arms (different iron however) and who, prelate like him, was bishop of Troyes (1664-1743).
