Leiden, Thomas Basson, 1607; in-4 of [12] ff. 214 p.; contemporary binding in soft ivory vellum, smooth spine, title formerly in calligraphy. First edition published by Paulus Merula (Paul van Merle), containing letters and testimonies, the list of works of Erasmus and especially of the and especially numerous unpublished letters from him, especially from his youth. Small portrait-medallion of Erasmus engraved on wood at the head and, a little further on, a representation of the "annulo Erasmi" with the inscription Terminus, perhaps announcing his end.
