Furniture and works of art

ANTIQUE & CLASSIC DECORATIVE ARTS

From the Haute Époque to the end of the 19th century, exceptional cabinetmakers, woodworkers, sculptors and bronze workers created worlds that fascinate collectors the world over.

Craftsmen, artists and geniuses, some of the masters of this art have gone down in history: André-Charles BOULLE and Thomas HACHE in the 17th century; Pierre NOGARET, Jean-François OEBEN, Georges and Henri JACOB and Jean-Henri RIESENER in the 18th century; Pierre-Benoît MARCION, JACOB-DESMALTER and Bernard MOLITOR during the Empire; Gabriel VIARDOT, Alfred BEURDELEY and François LINKE and Louis-Antoine KRIEGER in the 19th century.

The collections of antique furniture are a showcase for objets d'art, sculptures, clocks, carpets and tapestries, porcelain, snuffboxes, mounted vases, etc., all of which bear witness to the mastery of European artists and craftsmen.
