A career dedicated to fashion
After working as a model, notably for Dior, Dominique Brabec was successively editor at Jardin des Modes, then at L'Express as head of fashion and beauty, at Madame Express, columnist at L'Express Paris, and finally deputy editor-in-chief of Madame Figaro for 7 years.
From these years of journalism, she has preserved a large collection of documentation and press kits, notably from Chanel, Christian Lacroix and Yves Saint Laurent, collected at the fashion shows she assiduously attended. As Jannick Jossin de Closets, in charge of the literary section of L'Express until 1986, told us, she was very involved with fashion designers, earning her the affection of many of them, including Christian Lacroix, Paco Rabanne, Guy Paulin, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and Karl Lagerfeld.
