Claude Torricini was born in 1930 in Fort-de-France (Martinique) and studied art in Paris at the Cours Jullian and the Beaux-Arts. As a young graduate, she won the Prix André Susse in 1954 at the Salon de la jeune sculpture, dedicated to new contemporary trends in sculpture.
This was followed by a series of group and solo exhibitions around the world, including Les fondeurs d'art et leurs sculpteurs at the Grand Palais (1981), an exhibition at the Takis Foundation in Athens (1990) and an appearance at The Armory Show in New York (2010).
At the same time, her works can be found in the gardens of numerous collectors, and at the heart of public spaces: Michel Moritz, Architect in Paris, ULF Gillberg, Architect in Stockholm (Sweden), "Les Quatre temps" shopping center in La Défense, "Têtes Figurées" - Intervention on the facade of a building in New York (1992).
She died in Paris in February 2025, aged 94.

Drouot BAGNOLET's storage fees are as follows:
Handling fee per lot (incl. VAT): from €5 to €25 depending on the nature and size of the lots purchased (handling fees are capped at €100 (incl. VAT) per withdrawal). The handling fee is a flat-rate fee for the first 2 days of storage, regardless of whether the withdrawal is made on the 1st or 2nd day.
Storage and insurance costs per lot (incl. VAT): €1 / €5 / €10 / €15 / €20 / €25 per day, from the 3rd working day, depending on the nature of the lot (*).
No lot will be handed over until full payment has been received and the paid slip presented. Any item/lot that is not collected from the storage department within one year of its entry into storage will be deemed abandoned and its ownership transferred to Drouot as a guarantee to cover storage costs.
*Are considered :
Very small: lots with a volume of less than 0.10 m 3 and weighing less than 10kg;
Small: lots with a volume of between 0.10m3 and 0.50m3 and weighing less than 20kg;
Medium: batches with a volume of less than 0.50 m3 and a weight of between 20 and 50 kg;
Large: batches weighing over 50kg, volume over 2 m3.
