Elegant or Chinoiserie Aubusson tapestry Late 18th-early 19th century. (Wear, some old restorations.) Height 45 cm; Width: 40 cm This fragment, probably a framed fireplace screen leaf, features two young women, dressed and adorned in chinoiserie fashion: parasol, hair stick and traditional musical instrument. The figures are framed by a rocaille surround of acanthus leaves, topped with garlands of flowers. It has retained its beautiful colors.
