Ottoman "Tufek" flintlock rifle. Damascus barrel, decorated with a gold cartouche with Arabic inscriptions (divine invocation). Morlaque lock, fully and richly decorated in gold. Round stock in tiger walnut, ebony and bone, light wood with ivory (elephantidae spp.) fittings. Button trigger with damascened sides. Tigerwood shaft with horn tip, baguette. Length: 145 cm. E.M. (barrel detached, missing keys and stock fittings). Early 19th century. // Ivory specimen of Elephantidae spp (I/A) pre-Convention, prior to July 1, 1947 and therefore compliant with EC regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc, and prior to July 1, 1975 and therefore compliant with the French decrees of May 4, 2017 and January 2022.
