Necessary case in stingray (made from Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar*) fish dermis (stingray)), the yellow gold frame, decorated in appliqué with cartouches, with shell, dog and bird decoration enclosing a pair of scissors, the gold rings and a penknife made from a sea turtle shell (Cheloniidae spp (IA)**), pricked. The bottom opens with a sliding flap. 18th century Height: 10.4 cm; Gross weight: 72 g. (Worn and missing.) * Species not regulated under the Washington Convention (CITES) and CE 338/97 rules of 09/12/1996 and the French Environment Code. ** Specimen classified in Appendix I, Appendix A of the Washington Convention, pre-convention.
