Bourdin, [1841]; small in-4, antique binding in green half-maroquin with corners, gilded fillets, spine with 5 ribbed boards highly decorated with gilded and mosaic motifs, entirely untrimmed, cover and spine (Noulhac). Translation from English and introduction by Jules Janin. Attractive Romantic edition illustrated with woodcut figures in the text and 10 metal-engraved hors-texte compositions by T. Johannot and Ch. Jacque. A fine copy with the cover and spine decorated in three colors, perfectly preserved. It comes from the president Victor Mercier (catalog, I, 1937, n° 458).
