Pellet, 1780; 5 strong volumes in-4, contemporary bindings in marbled calf, gilt fillets, spines decorated with gilt motifs, red parts (some minor defects). Fine edition of an important work by Diderot, Naigeon and d'Holbach. It was condemned by the Parlement and Raynal had to go into exile. Portrait of the author, 4 frontispieces and AN ATLAS OF 50 MAPS, MOST OF WHICH ARE DOUBLE PAGE, with folded printed tables. A fine copy.
