Paris, vve Desaint; 1783; 2 strong vol. in-4 contemporary bindings in porphyry calf, gilt fillets, ribbed spines decorated with gilt motifs, gilt edges, one headband a little rubbed, small split at one bit. (Bound by de Rome le jeune, rue St-Jâques above St-Benoist). First edition of the translation by Armand Gaston Camus. Greek text opposite translation. The first binding by De Rome bears the label III E 1 by Pascal Ract-Madoux.
