First authorized edition. It is decorated with 56 VIGNETTES BY ALCIDE LORENTZ. One of them, page 71, would be inspired by Balzac's features. Fictitious mention of third edition on the cover. Tear without missing 4 leaves. Some paper browning. - From the Roger Pierrot library.
