Set of 20 octagonal silver game tokens "heur et malheur". The obverse features a bifront female bust, one smiling and crowned with fruit, the other with snakes in her hair, expressing pain. The reverse bears 20 different mottos with corresponding allegories: 1. Disciple of Ceres, I spread her blessings; 2. Always faithful; 3. Cunning cannot save him; 4. My reign is that of the laws; 5. The more bizarre the trick, the happier she is; 6. Let's not wait for the dawn to return; 7. Whoever you are, here is your master; he is, was or must be; 8.
