Arthur-Jacques le Duc (1848-1918) Reinforcement horse Bronze with brown patina shaded with green Signed and located on the saddle cloth "A. LEDUC / A TORIGNI Signed "Le Duc Sculpt" on the terrace Height 56 cm; Length: 62 cm; Width: 26 cm Arthur-Jacques le Duc trained in the studio of animal sculptor Pierre Le Nordez at the École des Beaux-arts in Caen. He moved to Paris in 1872, and between 1890 and 1907 regularly exhibited animal subjects in plaster, stoneware and ceramics at the Salon, inspired by the works of Antoine-Louis Barye.
