Saif sword Middle East, probably Saudi Arabia, second half of the 19th century Length : 85 cm Slightly curved, single-edged blade with three gutters. The handle forms a stock covered with colored glass beads, the lower part forming two quillons. The wooden scabbard is covered with leather mounted in silver and vermeil. The attachment rings are decorated with openwork on mica. The upper part of the vermeil scabbard is set with colored glass paste beads. The lower part is partly openwork and mounted on mica, also openworked with colored stones. EXPERT : Alexis RENARD
