Mughal jade Khanjar India, 18th century Length: 32 cm Very light celadon jade handle topped by a lotus bud. The central part of the handle is adorned with a floral pearl. The upper and lower parts are festoon-shaped, richly carved with leaves and flowers typical of the Mughal repertoire. The curved, two-edged blade with a central ridge is a reworking of a Persian blade. Good overall condition, with some visible color alterations in the jade material. EXPERT : Alexis RENARD
