Pouillet for the others).
First edition, published by Caroline Commanville, niece and universal legatee of Flaubert. Some of the 809 letters found have been redacted or arranged. Fictitious mention of "second thousand" in volume III.
ONE OF 25 COPIES ON IMPERIAL JAPANESE PAPER. Very small difference in the gilding on the spine of the bindings between the first and the following volumes.
