CUVIER Georges. Leçons d'anatomie comparée. Paris, Beaudouin, 1800-1805; 5 vol. in-8, old half-basecloth binding with small vellum corners, smooth spine, red and black parts, spine slightly rubbed. Courses of the Collège de France collected and published under the author's eyes by C. Duméril. It is the great work of Cuvier's youth in which appears his theory of the correlation of forms. With 7 folded tables and 52 engraved plates of animal anatomy. Two leaves of tables from the fourth volume have been bound by mistake in the third.
